Informative articles on the web work very well to promote your business and services. They are also good resources in research work. Once you decide to write an article for your business, you must assure that it should be eye catching and powerful enough to grab the attention of the reader.
Let’s see how you can write articles on the web that are effective. While writing articles on the wed, it is very important to master each minor and major aspect of quality web article writing. This will help you to become a skillful article writer and hence, increase your value in the article writing business. When you aim to write an article, try to work on the following points:
• Select a topic • Gather information regarding that topic (make an outline) • Decide the structure of article. • Decide keywords repetition ratio (for search optimization purposes)
While writing articles on the web, the first step is to know the behavior and needs of your readers. Now select a suitable and attractive topic (headline) for your article. It should be smart enough to compel the reader to open and read your article. Topic should narrate precisely what article contains.
Once you decide the topic, just start gathering useful information regarding that issue. If it is an article related to your business, study your business processes and products in detail so that you can elaborate them easily in your article. Make an outline and split the information in small bullet points. This will allow you to organize your ideas efficiently.
Structure of the article does a lot. The immense traffic on the web causes your reader to get fed up very quickly. Readers actually need information quickly, in a simple and easy-to-read layout. If your article does not attract them by reading the first paragraph, they will proceed to the next one because there are a lot of informational resources available online. It is a good practice to use bold headlines to separate sections. This will help your readers to get to their desired information. Write short paragraphs with simple vocabulary unless you are writing a highly technical article. Large paragraphs irritate the readers and make it hard for them to browse through and find the required information. Use suitable font type, font color and background color. Fancy font style may look good but sometime it becomes difficult to read. Be sure that your grammar is correct and there is no spelling mistake.
Another major factor in writing articles on the web is your article’s standing in the search engine results. Thousands of articles float up on the web every day, so it is very important to make your standing better when someone try to search your article topic using a search engine. To tackle this situation, use major keywords regarding your topic in the article repeatedly. Your standing on search engine directly depends on the number of keyword used in the article. This technique is called search engine optimization. Ideally, your keyword must appear at least three to five times per hundred words. Practicing all these useful tips will make you a good and skillful article writer and will enhance your article writing speed by the time.

Insider news has been released about a future program that Google is currently working on. The company is currently developing a program that will make literally everything in the world accessible at the click of a button. You will be able tag every book, movie, television, music, and radio broadcast. There will be even the power to tag official documents and photographs. The scary news is that the network may even have the power to tag actual people and their personal belongings as well. My interest caused me to look further into this announcement and learn a bit more about it. Read on to find out a little more about this latest announcement.
The news come via an interview Daily Mail recently did with the Google VP of engineering Douglas Merrill. It was during the interview that Merrill released the company's future plans. Insiders currently do not know what type of technology or software that is currently being created by the company. Google has a record of keeping many of their project very secret from everyone else. What we do know is that everything will be controlled at all times using RFID. This is called radio frequency identification. It will be interesting to see how everything will actually work.
Taking a basic look at the idea, it sounds pretty cool. The technology will enable us to tag everything from our dog, to a book, to our cellphone, to your car keys. What this could mean is the ability to find things that we lose which happen to be tagged. Hypothetically, let me say that I lost my car keys somewhere in the house and can not find them. I would be able to use the Google software to access my information and find the keys I mistakingly placed downstairs. You can now see why the announcement that Google plans to do this is not as scary as it sounds. It actually offers up a lot of potential for all of us.
Now, for those who are worried about the software, you have somewhat of a reason to be. Merrill even stated that it is a very real possibility that an individual or corporation could find a way to manipulate Google's search system. They could manipulate the system to their advantage, thus giving them access to all of your tagged information. I personally believe that this is one of the reasons that the company has yet to release the program to the world. They might be working on several ways to help prevent this from happening. Otherwise, if the program is released and people do indeed do that, we could be heading down a very dangerous path. Keep posted here for future updates.

Chances are, you've heard of Google; the enormously popular search engine that everyone is using these days. But did you know that there's a way Google can help you make money? It's true; and the best part is you won't have to do very much to make it work. That's the beauty of Adsense.
Google Adsense works on the principle of passive income. In other words, you will generate income with a minimal amount of active participation on your part. Think of it this way: Instead of having to do all of the cooking and cleaning yourself, imagine if you had a robot that could do it all for you, while you sat back and watched. Adsense works in a similar way, except instead of a cleaner house you get a fatter bank account. Sounds pretty nice, doesn't it? We will show you how to make passive income work for you.
The world's richest people all understand the concept of passive income. That's how they can jet-set off to fancy parties and exotic locales while their businesses continue to flourish. They have more than just crackerjack staffs and winning ideas. They have passive income on the payroll.
Once you've invested the small amount of time to learn about Adsense and set it up, all that is left for you to do is to sit back and watch as your bank account or PayPal balance increases.
What is Adsense, anyway?
In a nutshell, it's a fast and easy way for a website owner to make money through the placement of Google ads on their site. Adsense takes the guesswork out of ad placement, by choosing ads that relate very closely to the content on your site. You no longer have to search for relevant ads yourself; Google Adsense does the searching for you.
Without Adsense, you would have to spend countless hours searching for different ads for each of the pages on your site. All that searching could seriously eat into your golf time! With Adsense, you will be able to concentrate on providing your site's visitors with high-quality content.
The program rewards site owners for providing web surfers with interesting content. You will generate an income stream from your website or blog just by participating in the program. Some site owners have earned monthly incomes in the thousands of dollars! Even if your initial incomes are small, Adsense has the potential to earn your site a very comfortable second income stream. You'll even earn while you sleep! And if you own more than one site, the earning potential is just that much greater!
The way it works is this:
Google Adsense compensates the affiliate on a pay-per-click basis. Each time an ad is clicked, the advertiser pays Google a certain amount. After they have deducted their amount, Google will forward you the rest, usually on a monthly schedule.
Do you want to earn money while you travel the world, play with your kids or simply take time out for yourself? That can be a reality with Adsense. With a simple set up and some tried-and-true strategies for taking full advantage of the program, you will soon see the dollars rolling in. So relax, put your feet up, and let Adsense work for you.

Electronics, designer clothes, paperback books, puzzles, underwear, sofas and vitamins - what do they all have in common? You can buy them on the Internet. Today's shoppers can buy just about anything you can imagine, from handcrafted, one-of-a-kind garden sculptures to plastic party favors, from online retailers with just a click of a mouse. In the last few years, more consumers than ever have turned to the Internet to make purchases. The trend will continue to rise sharply as more and more traditional retailers open web-based storefronts and Internet security systems provide more secure solutions for online transactions.
In the early years of Internet commerce, Internet storefronts were expected to offer bargains in order to lure consumers to purchase online. This was their way of overcoming consumers' distrust of security concerns and the time lag of having to wait for items to ship. Free shipping and return was another frequent offer. Today, with enhanced security and reliable shipping the norm, shoppers no longer demand bargains because price isn't their number one concern. Instead, they rely on the Internet for convenience. It was the number one reason Internet shoppers cited for making purchases online. Others included selection, the ability to comparison shop and being able to keep up with trends.
Convenience is by far the most common reason people shop online. Nowhere else can you shop for so many different products on your own schedule. It doesn't matter if you've worked all day, had to come home and make dinner, help with homework and put the kids to bed. You can put on your pajamas and hit the world's largest mall at 11:00 at night from the comfort of your bedroom. Being able to send your grandmother flowers for her birthday, order yourself a great pair of shoes and office supplies restocked without running around scores huge points with consumers.
Educated consumers with disposable income fall into this category. Suburban malls may carry a nice selection, but it can be pretty homogenous considering the global offerings on the Internet. Niche markets are springing up on the Internet to cater to the needs of educated professionals. Educational toys and eco-friendly furnishings for families are hot sellers that aren't typically carried at your local mass-market retailers. Organic wineries and gourmet foods are also popular Internet niche markets that have huge followings with today's educated consumers who are thrilled to find products they just can't find in their local stores.
A surprising number of shoppers cited inspiration as their reason for hitting the Internet. Sites that help you select an appropriate gift can be a godsend for bachelor uncles and anyone who needs a gift for the person who has everything. Many websites let you input gender, age, interests and hobbies, then offer a selection of gift suggestions to make your shopping easier. This is especially popular for games, books, CD's and toys and the stores that carry them.
The joys of comparison-shopping have destroyed marriages in the past. You know what we mean; the husbands who drag wives from electronics store to electronics store to compare features and prices. Girlfriends who drag their man from store to store comparing everything from stitching to lining on blouses. Now comparison-shopping can be done by simply opening new windows or going to a site that does the comparisons and ratings for you.
Comparison-shopping online is particularly popular for anyone in the market for small appliances, computers, electronics, and software.
These are the cut-edge fashionistas who are always one step ahead of what can be found in a typical suburban mall. Whether it's the newest line of cosmetics or the latest fashion out of Milan or Paris, trend trackers always look impeccably put together. That's because they know all of the hottest sites on the Internet for cutting edge fashion, whether it's in clothing or cars, and they order online so that they can have it before anyone else does.

There are five main methods for a company to host a website; in-house, co-location, shared, dedicated and 'dedicated and managed'. The choice regarding which method will be used depends upon the technical skills of the in-house staff and the requirements of the business.
Hosting Options: The in-house solution involves the company itself purchasing all necessary software and hardware together with the leasing of a high speed internet connection. One of the main considerations of in-house hosting is that the company is required to employ system administrators to maintain all aspects of running the site such as; security, monitoring site responsiveness, reliability and backups. The costs involved in running an in house server are considerable. The largest cost by far is the expense of employing trained and experienced personnel to deal with all aspects of running the server.
Co-location allows companies to locate their server hardware in a location owned by the hosting company. The hosting company provides the bandwidth, an IP address and the electrical power to the server. The advantages of co-location include; a low cost for the bandwidth provided, control over what hardware is used and a UPS in the form of independent generators. Disadvantages include not having immediate physical access to the hardware and the difficulties associated with finding a provider that offers this service which is local to the business.
One common method of hosting a web site is through a shared web server provided by a hosting company. Multiple web sites from various companies are located on one server with the hardware resources and internet connection being shared between all sites. Shared web server services are only suitable for sites which generate a small amount of traffic and are available at a fairly low cost. The main drawbacks are; limitations on bandwidth, no control over the operating system software and security breaches on another site which is hosted on the same server could affect the site.
The term dedicated web-server refers to the rental and exclusive use of a computer that includes a Web server, related software, and connection to the
Internet, housed in the Web hosting company's premises. With the dedicated approach a server is leased from a hosting company which is responsible for maintaining the hardware and internet connection while the company that owns the web site has unlimited access to the operating system, software applications, and database applications through the 'control panel' provided by the hosting company. Upon further investigation, dedicated hosting companies - such as Donhost Ltd - often supply the server with the necessary software and employ technicians to take care of configuration, security updates and provide advice. Dedicated hosting can cost from around £1,000 to £5,000 per year depending on the requirements of the web site. Most dedicated web hosting companies now offer servers with a pre-installed operating system and server/security software in addition to offering some level of technical support and backup procedures. There is usually a need to use a dedicated web server when the use of a web site produces a considerable amount of traffic. The main advantages of using a dedicated server are a high level of reliability, a high bandwidth and efficient user response times.
'Dedicated and Managed Hosting' refers to a service similar to the dedicated web-server approach with the added advantage of being able to choose from a variety of technical services from the hosting company such as; monitoring, advice, administration, support, security, updates and upgrades, testing and troubleshooting.
In conclusion the main factors surrounding the choice between the various hosting methods are cost, in-house expertise, expected bandwidth/traffic and the level of service. Sites with highly sensitive information, high volume, or special software requirements will probably need a dedicated server.

According to Nielsen net ratings, every month, about half of all search engine queries are unique. This statistic, although vague and seemingly insignificant, is actually the greatest factor behind why eCommerce Soltuions fare so well in search. We interpret the statistic like this: Half of all searches cannot be predicted, the other half can be.
Great. So what does that have to do with eCommerce? The reason why eCommerce and SEO are better for each other than Forrest was for Jenny is due to the massive amount of content contained within the average eCommerce solution and that content's ability to target both predictable and unpredictable (long-tail) search phrases.
eCommerce solutions have a major advantage over any other database driven site for a number of reasons.
Abundant Content: Unlike a blog, article directory or content managed site, thousands of search engine friendly pages can be literally uploaded and indexed by the search engines.
Easy Unique Content: A product or category page needs a few tech specs and a brief description. As long as that content is unique to the site, a webmaster can litter the search engines with products and categories. The time it would take for a blog or content managed site to reach that same level using unique content is staggering.
Targeting the Predictable & Unpredictable: Category pages can be targeted for predictable searches like “red widgets.” Product pages can capture the unpredictable ones like “red widgets with tassels”(provided they contain keyword-rich descriptions).
So how can you make the most of your eCommerce solution in the search engines? As promised here is a list of 25 general tips.
Most Importantly:
Pick the right solution: Get an eCommerce provider that allows you to do everything we mention in this list. And hey, what do you know? Bridgeline’s eCommerce Solution lets you do all of this… Crazy how that works out, no?
Onsite Optimization Tips
Unique title tags: The content contained within should not be repeated verbatim within the site.
Put your site name after the product or category name in the title tag: Use your site to Brand, use your search engine listing to get clicks.
Unique meta data: Take the time to make your meta data (description & keywords) unique for each page. Obviously, that can be tricky if you have 10,000 skus, so try and get your developer to populate that area with the product description.
Use H1 tags: And put your keywords in them. Go to your source. Search for ‘ Use more than manufacturer data: If your product pages only contain the specs and descriptions that your manufacturer provides, the search engines will lump that product page together with the hundreds of other ones out there with the same specs and descriptions, meaning it won’t find its way into the search engine result pages (SERPS).
Take the time to add unique copy to your product and category pages
Link to other products and categories from that copy
Use alt tags: I know. I heard too. They’re useless. Use them anyway. SEO is about a conglomeration of variables, not a single supreme one.
Have a clear category tree: Search engines like that.
Use a search engine friendly navigation: Text links are best. Don’t like text and want to use images? Make sure you use alt tags. Using flash or doing postbacks? Stop that!
Create an XML based sitemap and put it in Google webmaster tools
Offsite Optimization (Link Building) Tips Link building is incredibly difficult for eCommerce sites because no one wants to link to your drop shipping site when they can link to the real thing or Target.com. Here is what you need to know:
Build domain authority: Domain authority is basically a measure of the number of high quality sites linking to yours. The more the better. So how do you get those?
Buy them: The quickest, easiest way to get Domain authority is to buy it at Text-Link-Ads.com. Unfortunately, it ain’t cheap.
Take your nique products and promote them in the online community: Get out into the online community, target some top bloggers in or around your industry and try to get them talking about your unique product. Again, this doesn’t really work for drop shippers because no one is going to link to your site when there are more reputable ones out there to link to so…
Put Something On Your site worth linking to: Compile a great list of resources, make how-to videos, develop a calculator, or other custom tool. If your products aren't unique and link-friendly, you'll need some site content that is.
Submit to directories: If you go to the forums they’ll tell you to submit to hundreds or thousands of directories. Don’t. Those are not high quality links, they don’t transmit domain authority, and they’ll only waste your time… What you need to do is find lists that bloggers or independent webmasters have made. If you must, submit to the directories, but be certain they are specific to your industry.
Submit articles: Again, the forums will tell you to submit as many articles as humanly possible. What I’m telling you is this:
Write 3-5 quality articles on topics that people are talking about in your industry (like what I’m doing here).
Submit the articles to a bunch of article directories.
Link to those articles from your homepage.
Link to your homepage from those articles
Link Sculpt: Place a nofollow tag on any link that doesn’t point back to your homepage.
Go to relevant blogs and forums where topics pertaining to those articles are being discussed, and drop links back to them.
Link exchanges: Despite popular opinion, still work… just don’t go overboard.
Deep link: Meaning, repeat 1-6 for your major categories.
Buy blog reviews: Go to sponsoredreviews.com or payperpost.com and buy some reviews from RELEVANT bloggers and point them back at your category or product pages. You’ll see a boost. It won’t last forever, but it will leave you in better standing than you were in to begin.
Answer questions on forums: And link back to your site in the signature
Outsource to India: There are plenty of Indians looking to make a buck on forums like Digital Point. They’ll generally do everything that I just mentioned from 1-10 and they’ll do it for cheap.
